Here it is! The Summer issue cover of Quilter’s Connection Magazine. Spend your summer sewing our wonderful quilts with patterns created by amazing Canadian quilt designers – including Janet Rice-Bredin, F. Dianne L. Stevenson, Marlene Biles and Anna Branch Wager. But wait, that’s not all! Sue Patten shares her secrets to create amazing Thread Art, learn great tips on how to take your quilting on the road this summer, visit summer quilt shows, enter our contest, and so much more!
If you don’t subscribe to the magazine, make sure to pick up your copy in early June at your nearest quilt shop, or Chapters/Indigo store. The magazine is also carried in some independent newsstands across the country!
Quilter’s Connection Magazine will offer a new feature in the magazine. Starting with our Summer 2010 issue, “Find a Teacher” will focus on classified advertising for quilt teachers and instructors. Now, quilters and guilds will be able to find a teacher based on their specialties, location and availability. And Teachers can advertise their unique talents to new audiences. What a great match!
To find out more about how to advertise in “Find a Teacher”, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 604-290-3454.
Well quilting friends, here it is – the cover of the Spring 2010 issue of Quilter’s Connection Magazine! I’m sorry it’s taken so long to post this. We’ve been up to our ears in final details for the magazine, and I just forgot.
Okay, so here it is…….. (drum roll, please)…..
The magazine will be going out to subscribers next Monday.
AND…. did you happen to notice that little barcode in the bottom left corner of the magazine? Do you know what that means?
Quilter’s Connection Magazine Spring 2010 issue will be available in Chapters stores across Canada! Should be on store shelves the week of March 8th.
We are over the moon with excitement about the news. This little magazine we started with just a few months ago is growing with leaps and bounds. And it is all thanks to you, our readers.
So a big thank you to everyone for supporting us through our first issues, for encouraging us to continue with the magazine, and, well, for subscribing! If it weren’t for your support, we wouldn’t even be here.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Happy Quilting! ~ Heather

Saturday January 23rd. I attended the opening of Quilt of Belonging at the Surrey Art Gallery in Surrey, BC. The Quilt is part of the Cultural Olympiad here in Vancouver.
What a beautiful piece of art, so amazing and so inspiring! Each time I see it, I see something new, and learn something different about the artist, Esther Bryan, and about The Quilt.
Here are some photos of the opening day.
